SNOW PRINTS FOIL BURGLARYFresh footprints in the snow led officers responding to a burglary alarm call to arrest two brothers outside a home in Massapequa Park on Monday, Nassau County police said.

PHONE APP LEADS TO ARREST. A Baldwin man arrested Monday and charged in connection with an armed street robbery that took place in February was located thanks to a phone-finder app that helped investigators trace the iPhone he'd stolen, police said.

OHEKA CASTLE SHOOTING. The cover story of today's Newsday looks at surveillance video released from the scene of last week's shooting of Oheka Castle owner Gary Melius that shows the gunman tried unsuccessfully to fire at least three more times.

POTHOLE FACTOR IN CRASH. Two people suffered minor injuries when a car overturned on Route 25A in Mount Sinai on Monday -- an accident that occurred, police said, after the driver reported swerving to avoid a pothole in the road.

BURGLARY SUSPECT WANTEDCrime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public’s help with identifying a suspect (pictured above) wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred in Valley Stream.  Between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2013, police say the suspect unlawfully broke into an apartment located on Ballard Avenue, damaged the victim’s personal property, and stole two watches and a gold ring before fleeing the scene.

 Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who can identify the subject or with information about this 
crime, to call 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and can receive a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to tips leading to an arrest.
