Woman wanted in identify theft

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying this woman, who is wanted in connection with an identity theft case that occurred in West Hempstead late last year.

On Dec. 30, the victim became aware of multiple fraudulent store credit cards opened in her name with purchases totaling more than $11,000, police said.

After further investigation, the woman was observed making fraudulent purchases with some of the credit cards at Target and Walmart stores, police said. She fled the scenes in unknown directions.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who can identify the woman, or with any information about these crimes to call 1-800-244-TIPS (8477).


Flights delayed at Long Island MacArthur Airport


Due to heavy fog, Southwest Airlines and U.S. Airways have cancelled multiple flights this afternoon, Long Island MacArthur Airport said in a tweet. Travelers are advised to contact airlines for further information.
